Adult Diapers

A couple of nights ago Chris and I were both sleeping on the couches in the living room. We've both been coughing during the night so we stayed out of our room to give Capuchin uninterrupted sleep. Howler got up, like she always does. Instead of taking her back to her room to lay down she curled up with Chris on the couch. After a nasty coughing fit I was laying there, wide awake. I'd been rerunning the day in my brain then I heard Chris shifting. I look over at him and I can tell he's trying to slither out from under Howler. She wakes up enough to start crying, "Daddy! Daddy!" He stops. No clock for reference, but I'd guess about 5 minutes later, he attempts again. "Da-dEE!" (this is her angry, 'quit that' voice) He stops trying and settles into the couch again.

Now there is only one reason why a sleeping parent would wake up and try to slither out from under a child. They need to pee. I've always heard it's not unusual for a woman who has given birth to experience a weak bladder in old age, but here's something I would love to see a study on: Are men with children more likely to suffer from incontinence than men without children? Seriously, the bladder can only stretch beyond capacity so many times, right?

Not that anyone would ever bother to poll such a thing, but I think it would be an interesting fact to know then men could make informed choices, hold full bladder now = adult diapers later due to bad bladder or adult diapers now for those long nights = no adult diapers later. HAHA :)
