The Farm

Two years ago my husband and I saw one of our life goals come true. We moved into the country on a little over 5 acres. It has been a dream of ours to start a small scale farm. It's amazing how things can come together.

There is a barn and a stable on the property. They are falling apart. Our barn leans. It's pretty funny to look at, but it's still standing, that's what counts. You can tell it used to be painted the traditional red and white, I think if I tried to paint it it would fall over like an old Laurel and Hardy movie. We are using it as our coop right now, the birds don't mind the leaning :)

The Animals:
Nine cats - (Four are available for adoption, by the way.)

Six Dogs

A handful of chickens and guineas

One guinea pig

Two Rats

One Sulcata Tortoise

The Greens:

We have eight fruit trees, but I keep forgetting to get a picture of them. They aren't fruiting yet. None of the vines we planted our first year here survived. We've decided to give up on planting until we can put up a secure perimeter fence. Until then we enjoy watching the rabbits and deer frolic across our property.
