When my
oldest was a toddler climbing on things we began calling her our
monkey. The pet name stuck and we refer to all of our kids as 'me
monkey'... I dunno... I guess we wish we were pirates with rhesus on our
shoulders..... Hence the title 6 monkeys in the country. So, meet the monkeys:
There's me
I am an exhausted mother of four trying to figure out this whole homeschooling thing and keep my sanity. I love to cook. I can't imagine life without cats and dogs in it, chickens are a bonus. I get my news from the Daily Show. Yes, that just about sums me up.
There's my husband
Don't let the pic fool you, he's a comic book geek with farmer aspirations. He loves action and scifi films. He dreams of going to comic-con. He spends his spare time dreaming about the day he can open an arcade/comic shop with a bar.
Our oldest daughter: Tamarin
The animal lover who never met a creature she didn't want to know more about. She is a talented archer and enjoys Harry Potter. She comes up with wonderful stories. She is a second grader this year.
Our first middle daughter: Lemur
The clown. She spends her time trying to make everyone laugh. She climbs everything. I thought gymnastics would appease, but I guess I need to look into rock climbing. She is in first grade this year.
Our second middle daughter: Howler
This is my girly girl. She may turn into a dress designer. She knows exactly what she wants to wear and loves to take spare material and drape it around her. She has a speech delay which makes day to day life very interesting at our house. She is beginning Pre-K this year.
Our youngest daughter: Capuchin
The most easy going kid in the world. I'd be lying if I said she wasn't already addicted to technology. I have to admit though, I'm okay with it. She steals my phone so she can listen to my music :) Great taste must be in the genes!
Cutest post...love your daughters..they are all a pleasure to be ariubd..always smiling..may god bless u all
