We have officially been in our house a year. Yeah! I remember when we'd hit a year at our old house we were miserable. We regretted buying it and were hellbent on moving after only one year in it. This time, we couldn't be happier. Every day I wake up feeling lucky to be here. Every time I look out a window (of which there are many) I smile. I told one of the inspectors when he was here last year that I would never move again. This is where I die. Yep, still saying that.
The other milestone? I hit a milestone birthday this year. Yep, gettin' old. The girls had been asking me to make a cookie cake, so I did. Then I let them decorate it.
They had a blast and it tasted good all slathered with icing.They even drew an L in it for my name :)
My parents stopped by too. They brought us dinner and a cake.
That's a lot of candles.....
The girls enjoyed helping me count candles. They also enjoyed devouring all the sweet stuff. Daylight savings + sugar = Ah!!!
