This was one of the last times we went to our previous gym. The girls were getting a little bored so we took a month off, when we came back they had cancelled two of the classes we were in. They do not have another day that has classes for all our age groups so off we go to find another gym.... I feel gymnastics has really helped Tamarin with her agility. Lemur can do gymnastics anywhere so the class isn't as big of a deal for her, she just has the natural monkeyness. Like the commercials for the olympics this year. Did you see those? The kids doing their sport in the house or in other places. She has the ability to look at things and just know how to exploit it for possible injury..... I may not put Howler in a class again. I only did it because she was so hard to keep out of the previous gym, but I think she's over it now.
I never did get around to posting about the parade, but the girls had a great time. They also got a ton of candy. We will have to figure out ways to incorporate it into our arts and crafts time so they don't load up on it. I'm a big fan of letting kids have at the candy, opening every piece if they want, taking one lick and then tossing it. When you let them eat on it slowly then they want to eat every piece and it becomes a big deal to finish every piece. It's just my way of doing it and it seems to work. They had a good time. I wish they didn't hold the horses till the end. I mean I understand why they do :p I was in marching band after all..... but we only stayed for an hour. It was getting too hot to stay without shade. They didn't get to see the horses which was always my favorite part of the parade.... well... that and the candy.....
