All By Myself

"All by myseeeeeeeelf." Okay, I'm the only one with the first scene of Bridget Jones Diary in my head when I hear that phrase, aren't I?

9:00 - Pain killers: 0 ; Dr Peppers: 0 Tantrums: 0 Weight: 17 lbs down from prebirth, WOOT!
Today is my first day with all four munchkins alone. In an hour and a half I've managed to feed everyone, do a load of dishes and a load of laundry. Going to spend some time dressing the girls, brushing their hair and then it's full force back into school work. Last week should have been week 14, but we did no hands on schooling. Feeling good today, haven't had to take any tylenol or motrin in 24 hours. The main problem right now is migraines. I always get migraines after birth which could be due to blood volume change, hormone shifts or epidural migraines, who really knows....

To Do:

Everyday schoolwork, art: perspective, cook these for hands on math. I'm going to make Lemur and Howler sort the m&m's by color:

Laundry: Capuchin has slept one small stint in the crib the first day back home. It is filled with laundry..... again.....

Sweep kitchen floor! Agh!

There's plenty more that needs to get done, but I think this is a good accomplishable list for the day...

2:00 - Pain killers: 0, Dr Pepper: 0, Tantrums: 1/2
Lunch - done. Laundry - done. Bulk of schoolwork - done. Still need to read and make cookies. Need to sweep kitchen floor. All of the kids are down for nap. I should do the same...... but I could go take a shower and sweep the kitchen floor...... Capuchin finally decided to settle in for a long nap around noon, she'll probably be up in a half an hour anyway and I'll just be more tired than I was before if I get ten or fifteen minutes of sleep. Yeah.... think I'll go sweep and shower....

4:00 - Dr Peppers: 1, Tantrums: 2 1/2
Well, I was right. Capuchin was up within 15 minutes. I don't think either of the older two slept, they both came into the living room about 2:45 and neither appeared sleepy. At least I got my kitchen swept. I turned on a show, took Capuchin to the bathroom with me and got a swift shower. We are now making the cookies. They enjoyed separating the colors more than anything else :) I encouraged them to make designs. Tamarin made a multicolored frosty and is now setting in on rudolph. Lemur decided orange was her favorite color today and put them on in no particular pattern.

6:00 - Dr Peppers: 1, Ginger Ale: 1, Tantrums: 3
Howler woke up about 4:30 screaming "Ow! Hurt!" She has a bug bite on her shin :( poor kid. Commence screaming for the next hour, which woke up Capuchin. I was feeding Capuchin, trying to appease Howler, but she didn't want me to put anything on her bite. Finally about 5:30 everyone calmed down. THANK YOU MYTHBUSTERS. Yes, my kids love mythbusters...... nothing wrong with that..... right?

Conclusion
Good day minus Howler getting bit. It was a very good day till then. I think I might be able to handle four kids.......

The cookies were good when they were warm, but now that they've cooled I realize I don't like that kind of chewy cookie. They are tough, but not over cooked if that makes sense. I like chewy and soft not hard.

I even managed to clean my bedsheets today too! Woot! So everything off my to do list and then some!
